Quality Food and Drink in Holmesfield, on the edge of the Peak District

The Angel is a traditional public house in the centre of Holmesfield, on the eastern edge of the Peak District, overlooking Sheffield and Chesterfield.

Although the current building is modern, The Angel is located between the village church and the site of Holmesfield's former manor house and there has been an inn on this site since medieval times, when it was the brewery of the local Lord of the Manor.

We specialise in good quality food, locally sourced wherever possible, at reasonable prices, and hand-pulled cask ales.

We have two sets of menus:

• Our Heavenly Food menu consists of classic pub dishes cooked in a reassuringly old-fashioned way
• Our Devilishly Different menu is an innovative menu in the Tapas style, so you can pix and mix selections of different dishes
